Upcoming Contests - Things to Do 2022 ARRL Field Day is June 25-26 ARRL Field Day begins at 1800 UTC on Saturday, June 25. Join thousands of amateurs from across the globe, including those from all 84 ARRL and Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) sections, as they participate in this popular operating event. Several rules have changed for the event this year, including a 100 W transmitter power-output limit and the continuation of Class D home stations being able to count contacts with other Class D stations for points. For more information about the rules changes and ARRL Field Day, visit www.arrl.org/field-day. RAC Canada Day Contest The 2022 Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) Canada Day Contest starts at 0000 UTC on July 1 and will run for 24 hours. Participants should note that special call signs will be on the air during the event in honor of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The call signs will be available to all Canadian amateurs who wish to use them for any event including Field Day, the RAC Canada Day Contest, and the IARU HF World Championship. Complete rules are available at www.rac.ca/contesting-results/. Bulletins IARU member-society Headquarters station operators participating in the upcoming IARU HF World Championship should check to see if their call signs are listed at www.dropbox.com/s/g0wojif6zo0ffu5/HQ2022.txt?dl=0. If your information is erroneous or missing, please send contact Joe Roemming, OZ0J, at [email protected]. Joe and Bob Wilson, N6TV, are compiling a multiplier list for use with major contest-logging software programs. The list will only have multipliers for Headquarters stations; stations from IARU, Region 1, Region 2, and Region 3, and Administrative Council (AC) stations. Pete Smith, N4ZR, has announced an update to the Reverse Beacon Network (RBN) web page. The updated site has many new features, including a new map based on Open StreetMap. Users can view a complete list of new features at the Guide to the New RBN Website, found on the "about" tab of the page.
