Upcoming Contests - Things to Do

Upcoming State QSO Parties

If you're a state QSO party participant, there are plenty of opportunities to operate over the next couple of weeks. The following contests are happening during the weekend of September 17 - 18: the Texas QSO Party, the Iowa QSO Party, the New Hampshire QSO Party, and the New Jersey QSO Party. The Maine QSO Party takes place on the following weekend, September 24 - 25.

ARRL 10 GHz and Up Contest

The second weekend of the ARRL 10 GHz and Up Contest begins on Saturday, September 17 at 0600 local time and concludes on Sunday, September 18 at 2359 local time. Participants that also operated during the first weekend of the event are reminded that logs for both weekends must be submitted as one complete log. Logs must be submitted to contests.arrl.org/arrl10gscoresubmission.php by October 18.


CQ World Wide DX Contest, RTTY

One of the largest RTTY operating events of the year, the CQ World Wide DX Contest, RTTY begins on Saturday, September 24 at 0000 UTC, and concludes on Sunday, September 25, at 2359 UTC.


North American Sprint, RTTY

For RTTY operators who prefer a shorter, faster paced contest, the North American Sprint, RTTY occurs on Saturday, September 18, from 0000 - 0400 UTC. Teams of up to five members can combine their separate single operator scores into a team score. Teams must be registered prior to the event at ncjweb.com/north-american-sprint/.

Pete Smith, N4ZR, is looking for call sign updates to include in the latest update of the Reverse Beacon Network (RBN) pattern file that will be released ahead of the fall contest season. Pete encourages anyone who wants their updated call signs to be included in the October 1 release to email him at [email protected] before September 25.

2022 World Wide Digi DX Contest

The raw scores for the 2022 World Wide Digi DX Contest are available at https://ww-digi.com/raw.htm. The raw scores are based on logs received as of 0400 UTC Saturday, September 3. Contest Director Ed Muns, W0YK, reports that over 1,800 logs have been received for this year's event, which is the highest number of logs received in the 4 years the contest has been running.


2022 JIDX CW Contest

The Japan International DX (JIDX) Contest Chairman, Tack Kumagai, JE1CKA, reports that the results for the 2022 JIDX CW Contest are available at jidx.org/2022cw.html. He also would like to remind participants that the JIDX Phone Contest will be held November 12 and 13. For contest rules, visit jidx.org/jidxrule-e.html.
