Any advice on keeping a house cooler in Cyprus?

Hey folks, I’ve just moved into an older house in Cyprus, and the summer heat is brutal. The AC is running almost nonstop, and my electricity bill is already painful. I'm looking for ways to improve energy efficiency and make the place more comfortable. Someone mentioned insulating the roof — has anyone tried it, and did it make a difference? |

Absolutely — from personal experience, I highly recommend investing in roof insulation . We had the same problem with high AC costs and unbearable heat upstairs. After insulating and waterproofing the roof, the temperature inside dropped significantly, and our electricity bill followed.
