Tom, AL7EL, will activate Wake Island May 10 through 17. Plans are to operate 80 through 6 meters, with an emphasis on the lower bands and 50 MHz. QSL via AL7EL CBA or the KL7 bureau. SAINT PIERRE AND MIQUELON. Bruno, F5JYD, and Eric, F5SSM, will both sign TO7I April 27 to May 6. Activity will be on all bands with SSB and RTTY. Barry, G4MFW, aka ZS1FJ, has obtained operating permission, but will probably be active for only a few hours a day. Listen for G4MFW/ZL8 from May 5 to 15 on 80, 40, 20 and 15 meters. MADAGASCAR. JE8BKW and JH8CLU will operate as 5R8DL April 28 to May 4. AZORES. Bill, KQ4GC, will operate from Terceira Island as CU3/KQ4GC until April 23. He will concentrate on SSB on 80 through 10 meters. The YU DX Contest, sponsored by the Yugoslav Amateur Radio Association, Narodna Tehnika Belgrade and Yugoslav DX Club, runs from 1200z April 22 to 1200z April 23 on 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 meter CW and SSB. The Friendship Contest, sponsored by the Russian Speaking Radio Club International, USA, and KV Journal of Moscow, Russia, an HF magazine, runs from 1300z April 22 to 1300z April 23, on 40 and 20 meter CW and SSB. Stateside stations send signal report and state. CIS/Baltic stations will send signal report and CQ zone. The Ten-Ten International Net Spring CW QSO Party, sponsored by the Ten-Ten International Net, is from 0000z April 22 to 2400z April 23.
