The Australian Antarctic Division has issued a permit allowing a full-scale amateur radio operation, so plans are in place for this all band, all mode operation, including RTTY and satellite. A multinational team will sail from western Australia November 1, 1995, and expect to arrive at Heard on about the 12th. Departure from Heard will be on December 1. DXpedition organizers are 3Y0PI veterans K0IR, KK6EK and ON6TT. Other team members include HB9AHL, N6EK, PA3DUU, K5VT, DJ9ZB and JH4RHF. JORDAN, JY. Press, N6SS, is planning a 4 month stay on Diego Garcia and operating from club station VQ9SS. A 160 meter antenna is in the works. QSL via N6SS. TOKELAU ISLANDS, ZK3. Ron, ZL1AMO, is signing ZK3RW with most activity being on 80 through 17 meter CW. Check 3505 kHz around 1016z, 14025 from 2300 to 0230, and 7005 at 0530. Listen on 14195 kHz for SSB. AL7EL, WB2DND, KC7V, K4HQI, and possibly others, are planning a DXpedition scheduled for some time this fall. Three stations are planned and some action in the CQWW SSB Contest in October is possible. COCOS ISLANDS, TI9. Jose, TI2JJP, may return to Cocos for about 15 days starting about October 9 or 10.
