This week's bulletin was made possible with information provided by
Lanny, W5BOS, Marios, 5B4WN, Rick, N6NR, Tedd, KB8NW, the OPDX

WEST KIRIBATI, T30.  Dave, T30DW, has been worked on 14208 kHz
around 1200z.  He should be active for the next two years.  QSL via
PO Box 29, Bairiki, Tarawa, Republic of Kiribati.
 
SOUTH SHETLANDS, VP8.  Listen for Andy, VP8CQS, on 40 meter CW and
SSB.  Europeans report hearing him with a good signal on 7004 kHz CW
around 2100z and on 7050 kHz SSB around 2145z.  QSL via DL1EHH.
 
BURKINA FASO, XT.  Ed, XT2CH, has been on 14160 kHz around 1945z.

ETHIOPIA, ET.  ET3AA, has been on 14224 kHz starting at 0200z.  QSL
via PO Box 60258, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  ET3YU has been on the low
end of 20 meters running stations on CW starting around 2230z.  QSL
via YU1FW.
 
KENYA and UGANDA, 5Z and 5X.  Paul, 5Z4FO, is active and plans to
remain so from Uganda as 5X1WM.  He should be leaving Kenya some
time this month.  QSL via KB4EKY.
 
CHINA.  Rick, N6NR, will be operating during July from Beijing
signing BY1QH and N6NR/BY1, and possibly BY1PK.  Rick will focus on
HF CW, primarily 40, 30, 20 and 17 meters, and on OSCAR 13 on
145.890 MHz.
 
ANGOLA, D2. Peter, ON6TT, will use either D2TT or D3T from July 7 to
August 28.  He plans to be on all bands, with special interest in
the WARC and low bands, and RTTY.  Peter will be in the IARU contest
this weekend.  He also plans to have beacons on 160 and 10 meters.
During his daytime work hours, check 28203 kHz.  During his sleep
hours, check 1821.5 kHz.  Beacon signal reports can be sent to 
ifrclad at angonet.gn.apc.org, his Internet address.  Note his name
clearly in the message body.  Please do not use his Internet
connection for skeds or uses other than beacon reports.  QSL via
ON5NT.
 
TRINDADE, PY0.  Sergio, PU1LOK, is active as PU0TRI only on 80 and
10 meter SSB.  He will be on the island until October and will then
start QSL chores.
 
DODECANESE, SV5.  Ralf, DL9GTI, will be on from Rhodes Island,
EU-001, until July 19 as SV5/DL9GTI/p.  He will operate a QRP
station running 5 watts to verticals and long wires on 40 to 10
meters.  Listen for him in the IARU and the AGCW QRP Summer
Contests.  QSL via his home call.  
 
IOTA TIPS.  POPOF ISLAND, KL0.  Lanny, W5BOS, will activate Popof
Island, NA-087, from 2200z July 12 to 2300z July 15.  He will
operate CW and SSB.  Popof is part of the Shumagin Island group.

GREEN ISLAND, BV9G. Operators from CTARL, including BV8YA, BV8YB,
BV8AB and BV8BC, will sign BV0ARL/BV9G July 20 to 25.  QSL via BV8BC
and/or CTARL Bureau, PO Box 73, Taipei 100, Taiwan, R.O.C.
 
CULATRA ISLAND, CT1.  The Northern Portugal DX Group, NPDXG, and
Radio Clube de Loule, RCL, will operate a multi/single effort in the
1995 IOTA Contest, July 29 and 30, from EU-145 in the Algarve
Province Group.  They plan to have a station on the air a few days
before the contest on all bands and modes, including satellites.
They have requested the call CQ2C.  Europeans QSL via CT1EEB.  North
Americans QSL via WA1ECA.
 
BANKS AND HERSCHEL ISLANDS.  Frederick, VE3VRO, will be active July
10 to 13 from Banks, NA-129, and July 14 to 17 between 0000 and
0300Z from Herschel, NA-193.  Listen for VE3VRO/KL0.  Banks is in
the Arctic Archipelago Islands Group and Herschel is in the Yukon
Territory Group.
 
GEORGIOS ISLAND.  From July 10 to 13, operators 5B4WN, KH, AFM and
8AH will operate 80 through 10 meter CW and SSB from AS-120, signing
C4AG/P.  QSL via 5B4AFM or 5B4KH CBA.
 
WHAT'S THE FREQUENCY, KENNETH?  From time to time we mention to
check the usual IOTA frequencies.  General gathering spots for
Island Hunters are 3530, 7030, 10114, 14040, 18098, 21040, 24920 and
28040 kHz for CW.  On SSB try 3765, 7155, 14260, 18128, 21260, 24950
and 28560 kHz.  The IOTA Net is at 1300z Saturdays on 14260 kHz and
at the same time Sundays on 21260 kHz.
 
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  The IARU HF World Championship starts at
1200z July 8 and runs for 24 hours.  Exchange signal report and ITU
Zone.  IARU member society HQ stations will send signal report and
official IARU member society abbreviation.  For complete rules, see
page 110 in April QST.
 
The CQ World Wide VHF Contest and QRP ARCI Summer Homebrew Sprint
are both this weekend as well.  For more information check page 113
