This week's bulletin was made possible with information provided by

VIETNAM, 3W. A station signing 3W5FM on 14195 kHz at about 1330z
was active over the past week or so.
BHUTAN, A5. A51OS was on 14247 kHz on July 3 working WA4JTK and
VP2VF. There has been no activity from A51OS since.
WESTERN SAHARA, S0. Tim, KC0PA, is still active as 4U/KC0PA. He
was on 30 meter CW earlier this week. Though his CW is very slow,
he gives out the Q's. He was also heard on 18137 kHz SSB at 1325z.
Check out time from S0 will be August 1.
BENIN, TY. Ken, WA4OBO, plans to stay in Benin several times over
the next two years and become active as TY8OBO. Word has it that he
has applied for a license to operate from Ethiopia, an operation
planned for August or September. Ken operates mostly on HF SSB.

NAMIBIA, V5. Charlie, KY0A, plans to sign either V52/ZS6YG or V52YG
from August 7 to 10. He will operate CW only on 160, 80, 40 and 30
meters, with a chance for some 17 or 12 meter work. QSL via KY0A.
DENMARK, BORNHOLM ISLAND. Peter, DF6QN, will be active from IOTA
EU-030 July 29 through August 11. Check around 7060, 14260 and
21260 kHz.
CORRECTION TO W1AW DX BULLETIN 35. The penultimate paragraph should
have read, ''In membership correspondence to the entire DXAC, 157
persons, or 72 percent, were against adding Scarborough and 61
persons were in support of new country status.''
CANADA. QRP DXPEDITION. Stefan, DL1FDF, will be active as VY1QRP
July 24 to October 16. He will travel through Ontario, Manitoba,
Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Northwest Territories and
the Yukon Territory. Check around 0500z on 14060 or 14285 khz.
Also try the following QRP frequencies, CW/SSB. 3560/3690 kHz,
7030/7090 kHz and 14060/14285 kHz.
PICTOU ISLAND, NOVA SCOTIA. Members of the West Island Amateur
Radio Club of Montreal will be active as XJ1CWI July 27 to August 3,
and during the IOTA contest on the 29th and 30th. On CW try 1835,
3510, 7050, 10110, 14040, 18080 and 21040 kHz. SSB will be around
1835, 3795, 7250, 14195, 18120 and 21320 kHz. VHF'ers can try
50.110 and 144.300 MHz. RTTY ops will be on 7090 and 14090 kHz. On
RS12 they will operate 21220/29420 kHz TX/RX. They may be on RS-15
and other OSCARS. Pictou Island is a rare IOTA, NA-154, and also
counts for the Canadian Islands Award group as NS-05. This small
island is in the strait between Nova Scotia and Prince Edward

ANTICOSTI ISLAND. VA2RC, VA2LG, VE2BZL and VE2DFY will be active
from NA-077 July 15 to 21 as XJ2CQ. On CW try 3650, 3707, 7007,
14027 kHz. On SSB check 3737, 7057, 14267 and 14270 kHz. QSL via
VA2RC, 4434 Astrolabe, Quebec, G2B 2G9., CANADA.
THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO. The DARC HF RTTY Contest is from 1400 to
2000z Saturday on 80 and 40 meters, and Sunday from 1000 to 1600z on
20, 15 and 10 meters. We have no other information on this event.
