It has been reported that Ted, LZ1WR, plans on operating 5A1A sometime in March. He hopes to augment low band antennas with monobanders for the higher bands. TOGO, 5V. SOVEREIGN MILITARY ORDER OF MALTA, 1A0. 1A0KM will be on the air from around 1500z December 8 until December 17. This will be on all bands/modes, including satellites. Frank, DL8YHR, plans to be active March 1 to 10 from 3V8BB on satellites AO-10 and 13, as well as 144 MHz EME. The EME set up will run 600 watts to four 17 element Yagis. CHINA, BY. Bob, K9RHY, will be in Beijing until December 9 and will operate from club radio station BY1QH. OGASAWARA, JD1. JQ1SUO will be active as JD1/JQ1SUO between December 23th and January 3rd. QSL via CBA. NORTH KOREA, P5. Martti, OH2BH, reports in The DX News Sheet that negotiations for P51BH and P51XX operations are well underway. A formal announcement is expected shortly. CROZET, FT5W. F5IJT and F5SZK will arrive on Possession Island in the Crozet Archipelago on December 14. They will sign FT5WE and FT5WF, respectively. They will try to have two stations active for their 12 month stay. Modes will include CW, SSB, RTTY, SSTV and packet. On CW try 3505, 7005, 10105, 10115, 14005, 18075, 21005, 24890 and 28005 kHz. For SSB try 3792, 7045, 14145 14245, 18145, 21245, 24945 and 28445 kHz. And listen for beacon station FT5WE on 6 meters. QSL FT5WE via F5GTW. QSL FT5WF via F5IZK. MACQUARIE ISLAND, VK0. Warren, VK0WH, is now active from Macquarie with commercial gear. He will be on the island for 1 year. Operating frequencies are 3570 and 14130 kHz SSB, and 7010 kHz CW. Warren was heard recently on 7009 kHz at 1130z. Starting December 10, he will have a regular schedule with VK4ATS at 1000z on 14130 kHz. DJIBOUTI, J2. Tom, J28ML, reports that J20RAD will be on the air from December 8 to 14. Check 80 through 10 meters for CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via the Djibouti bureau at PO Box 1076. SOUTH ORKNEY ISLANDS.
