This week's bulletin was made possible with info provided by Tedd,

ANDAMAN ISLANDS, VU7.  Jim Smith, VK9NS, plans to return here in
February.

MYANMAR, XZ.  XZ1A equipment remains in place with activity by
OH1NYP and OH2BH expected in January.  They will concentrate on 160
and 80 meters.  XZ1A cards are expected to be in the mail by early
January.

AFGHANISTAN, YA.  A European PacketCluster spot shows YA9XL on 40
meters between 1730 and 2230z.  The operator stated to QSL via
F5TCN.

VANUATU, YJ.  Daniel, FK8FU, should be active on all bands December
18 to sometime in January.  QSL via N5AU.

KERMADEC ISLAND, ZL8.  Ron, ZL1AMO, and a group of ZL ops plan to be
active in May 1996.  Landing permission has been granted.  See
December QST for more information.

NORTH AND SOUTH COOK ISLANDS, ZK1.  LA1TV, LA1LIA and LA9JX will try
to be on the air as ZK1ATV, ZK1LIA and ZK1NJX respectively, from
Aitutaki Island, IOTA OC-083, December 9 to 14.  They hope to
operate from OC-014 December 28 to January 4.  On CW try 3505, 7005,
10105, 14005, 18075 and 21005 kHz.  For SSB try 3795, 7045, 14195,
18145 and 21295 kHz.  QSL via home calls.

LIBYA, 5A.  It has been reported that Ted, LZ1WR, plans on operating
5A1A sometime in March.  He hopes to augment low band antennas with
monobanders for the higher bands.

TOGO, 5V.  Dave, 5V7MD, has returned to Togo.  He operates mostly
SSB and a bit of CW.  Try 14165 kHz daily at 2130z.  QSL with SASE
via AB7BB, direct only.

JAMAICA, 6Y5.  Alan, G3XAQ, will be active now until December 12 as
G3XAQ/6Y5 with QRP CW.  QSL via G3XAQ.

RWANDA, 9X.  Mark, ON4WW, has received his new call sign 9X4WW,
replacing 9X/ON4WW.

SOVEREIGN MILITARY ORDER OF MALTA, 1A0.  1A0KM will be on the air
from around 1500z December 8 until December 17.  This will be on all
bands/modes, including satellites.  Three stations will be active
simultaneously.  Look for A010 and 13 operations to start on
December 12.  QSL via IK0FVC.

TUNISIA, 3V.  Frank, DL8YHR, plans to be active March 1 to 10 from
3V8BB on satellites AO-10 and 13, as well as 144 MHz EME.  The EME
set up will run 600 watts to four 17 element Yagis.

CHINA, BY.  Bob, K9RHY, will be in Beijing until December 9 and will
operate from club radio station BY1QH.

OGASAWARA, JD1.  JQ1SUO will be active as JD1/JQ1SUO between
December 23th and January 3rd. QSL via CBA.

NORTH KOREA, P5.  Martti, OH2BH, reports in The DX News Sheet that
negotiations for P51BH and P51XX operations are well underway.  A
formal announcement is expected shortly.

CROZET, FT5W.  F5IJT and F5SZK will arrive on Possession Island in
the Crozet Archipelago on December 14.  They will sign FT5WE and
FT5WF, respectively.  They will try to have two stations active for
their 12 month stay.  Modes will include CW, SSB, RTTY, SSTV and
packet.  On CW try 3505, 7005, 10105, 10115, 14005, 18075, 21005,
24890 and 28005 kHz.  For SSB try 3792, 7045, 14145  14245, 18145,
21245, 24945 and 28445 kHz.  And listen for beacon station FT5WE on
6 meters.  QSL FT5WE via F5GTW.  QSL FT5WF via F5IZK.

MACQUARIE ISLAND, VK0.  Warren, VK0WH, is now active from Macquarie
with commercial gear.  He will be on the island for 1 year.
Operating frequencies are 3570 and 14130 kHz SSB, and 7010 kHz CW.
Warren was heard recently on 7009 kHz at 1130z.  Starting December
10, he will have a regular schedule with VK4ATS at 1000z on 14130
kHz.

DJIBOUTI, J2.  Tom, J28ML, reports that J20RAD will be on the air
from December 8 to 14.  Check 80 through 10 meters for CW, SSB and
RTTY.  QSL via the Djibouti bureau at PO Box 1076.

SOUTH ORKNEY ISLANDS.  Operators Hector, LU6UO, and Ernesto, LU1ZPF,
will be active from Laurie Island from mid-December through late
February.  QSL via LU6EF.

THIS WEEKEND ON THE RADIO.  It's time again for the annual ARRL
10-Meter Contest.  Check page 130 in November QST for complete
rules.

The TARA RTTY Sprint starts at 2100z Saturday and ends at 0100z
Sunday.
